Site Accounting & Reporting Officer

Wat ga je doen?

In this role you establish a close relationship with organizational units (e.g. manufacturing/supply chain/engineering) and site business control. You need to understand the operation and its characteristics (financial aspects) and translate the characteristics of the organizational unit into financial transactional processes. You need to ensure a proper set of internal controls to safeguard assets and liabilities (controllership). Next to that, you need to explain the variance between actual costs and budget towards embedded business control and operational management, and will do ad hoc analytic to support financial statements.

Jouw werkzaamheden

• The performance of periodic accounting including month end, quarter- and year-end closing as per the established accounting practices and procedures.
• The reconciliation of relevant general ledger accounts to ensure that accounting entries are recorded in line with SABIC accounting policies.
• The timely and accurate completion of the management reporting, interpretation and analysis of reports and liaise with the controllers of the different functions to look for improvement opportunities.
• Supporting the preparation of various site departmental budgets, including (ad hoc) investigation and reporting of variances relating to the actual results.
• Ensuring the site is fully compliant with internal and external business controls to safeguard assets and liabilities (controllership).
• Ensuring inventories are accounted for correctly and valuations for both finished product and raw materials are stated accurately.
• Following projects and ensure the timely capitalization of constructed assets.
• Ensuring (lease) assets are accounted for correctly and valuations are stated accurately.
• Proactively and continuously finding opportunities to make the processes more efficient and effective.
